Mahendra Singh Dhoni's name is counted among the great cricketers around the world, and today he is a successful player.  But the path of becoming a cricketer was not so easy for Dhoni and he had to struggle a lot in his life to become a great cricketer from an ordinary person.


 Dhoni started playing cricket from his school days, but it took him many years to become a part of the Indian team.  But as soon as Dhoni got a chance to play for our country, he used this opportunity very well and gradually established himself in the world of cricket.

 On August 15, 2020, this great player and best captain announced his retirement from international cricket.  It was a very sobering moment for the fans.  This was such a player that many people of the world used to watch cricket to watch.

 Born in Jharkhand state of India in 1981, Dhoni got his early education from DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir School in this state.  After studying his 12th standard, he enrolled in Set Xavier College.  But for cricket, Dhoni had to compromise with his studies and he left his studies in the middle.

 Dhoni's father Pan Singh Mecon (MECON) used to work in the company and his mother's name is Devaki Devi.  His family is from Uttarakhand state.  But his father started coming to Jharkhand state due to his work.  After which they became residents of this state.


 In addition to his mother and father in Dhoni's family, he also has a sister, brother, wife and a daughter.  His elder sister is a teacher and elder brother is a politician.

 In Dhoni's life, there used to be a girl named Priyanka Jha, who was Dhoni's girlfriend.  But Priyanka died in the year 2002.  Due to which this love story of Dhoni was left incomplete.  People came to know about this part of Dhoni's life through a film made on his life.

 Dhoni married Sakshi on 4 July 2010, it was a love marriage.  It is said that these two used to study in the same school.  But when Sakshi was younger, then her father shifted to Dehradun, due to which Sakshi had to leave her school midway.

 After Sakshi shifted to Dehradun, Dhoni and Sakshi could not meet each other for a long time.  But in 2007, the two met again and they met in Kolkata.


 Actually, the hotel in which Team India Kolkata stayed.  Sakshi was working as an intern in the same hotel and during this time both of them met each other after a long time.  After this meeting, both of them continued to meet each other for a long time and after almost three years, both of them got married.  They both also have a daughter and they named her Jeeva.

 First Ranji Match: He got his chance to play Ranji Trophy for the first time in the year 1999 and this was the first Ranji Trophy match played against the Assam Cricket team from the state of Bihar.  In the second innings of this match, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 68, while in this trophy season, he scored 283 runs in 5 matches in his name.  After this trophy, Dhoni played other more home matches.


 Despite Dhoni's best performance, he was not selected by the East John selector.  Due to which Dhoni kept distance from the game and started working as a ticket collector in the railway department in the state of Kolkata in the year 2001.  But Dhoni did not mind this job and he quit this job within three years and started focusing on his cricket career again.


 In 2001, Dhoni was selected for the Duleep Trophy, but Dhoni could not get the information about his selection at the right time.  Due to which Dhoni could not take part in this trophy.


 In the year 2003, Dhoni was seen by former Bengal captain Prakash Poddar while playing in the match of talent resource development wing in Jamshedpur.  After which he gave information about Dhoni's game to the National Cricket Academy.  And in this way Dhoni was selected in Bihar Under-19 team.


 Dhoni also participated in the Deodhar Trophy tournament of the year 2003-2004 and Dhoni was part of the East Zone team.  This season of Deodhar Trophy was won by his team and Dhoni played a total of 4 matches this season, in which he scored 244 runs.


 In the year 2004, Dhoni was selected in the India A team.  For India 'A' team, Dhoni played his first match as a wicket-keeper.  Zimbabwe did quite well against the team.


 In the series between the three countries (Kenya A, India A and Pakistan A), Dhoni also performed well and with the help of his half-century in the match played against the Pakistan A team, Dhoni won the match to the Indian team.

 Dhoni got the opportunity to play the first International One Day Match (ODI) from the Indian team in the year 2004 and he played his first ODI match against Bangladesh team.


 In his first international match, he could not do anything special and returned to zero.  However, despite Dhoni's poor performance, he was selected in the next ODI match to be played with Pakistan.


 Dhoni did very well in this match played with Pakistan.  In this match, he scored a total of 148 runs in his name, with which he also became the first Indian wicket-keeper-batsman to have scored so many runs.

 First Test Match

 Dhoni got the opportunity to play first test match from Indian cricket team in the year 2005 and played his first match against Sri Lanka team.  In the first inning of this match, Dhoni scored a total of 30 runs in his name.  But due to rain, this match had to be stopped in the middle.

 He made his first Test century while playing against Pakistan in the year 2006 and this is why it helped India to avoid follow-on in this Test match.

 Last Test Match

 Dhoni played the last test match of his career against the Australia team in the year 2014.  In this final Test match, he scored a total of 35 runs.  After the end of this match, Dhoni had shared information about retiring from the test match with the media and in this way it became the end of Dhoni's life test match.

 Mahendra Singh Dhoni is now appearing in IPL 2020 after taking retirement from One Day Match.  Dhoni is playing as the captain of his team Chennai Super Kings.  All his viewers are very happy to see him playing.  Dhoni is currently in Abu Dhabi.  We hope that his team wins this time, and we can see them playing more.
